Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (2012-2013)

INTRODUCTION

To ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and  ability to meet the challenges of teaching at Elementary, Secondary and Senior  Secondary levels, one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for  appointment as a teacher in any of the schools recognized by the Department of  School Education, Haryana and affiliated by the Board of School Education,  Haryana is that he/she should pass the “Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test”.  “HTET” will be conducted by this Board in accordance with these Guidelines and  such other rules/regulations/instructions/policies laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education/Department of School Education, Haryana.

ELIGIBILITY

All individuals who posses minimum educational qualifications etc. as delineated  in the service rules relating to the teachers of all the three levels (available on the  website of the School Education Department, Haryana (www.schooleducationharyana.gov.in) and also in these guidelines are eligible to  take the test (HTET) which will be conducted for the following three levels :- 

  1. whointents to be a teacher for classes I to V (Primary Teacher) and fulfills  the minimum qualification.
  2. whointents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (TGT – Trained Graduate Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification.
  3. whointents to be a PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Passed or  appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever  name known)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and Passed or  appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever  name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure),  Regulations, 2002.

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed Or  appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed Or  appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). 
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

2. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.

How To Apply:

BEFORE APPLYING ON-LINE AND DEPOSITING/SENDING THE  PRINT OUT OF COMPUTER GENERATED APPLICATION FORM i.e.  CONFIRMATION PAGE. CANDIDATES MUST CAREFULLY GO  THROUGH THESE INSTRUCTIONS -

  1. Carefully go through the INFORMATION BULLETIN - “Guidelines/Instructions - Scheme of examination” available on the website of the Board( www.hbse.ac.in OR www.htet.nic.in  ) .
  2. Ensure your eligibility to appear in the examination.
  3. Access/Login the website of the Board (www.hbse.ac.in OR  www.htet.nic.in)and follow the instructions as mentioned under “Instructions  and Procedure for on-line application”. It is advised that the candidates  should mention their name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth as  mentioned on their certificate of Secondary examination. Mentioning Roll No.  of Secondary Examination, Year of qualifying Secondary examination and  Name of the Board is essential.
