Tamil Nadu government on Monday said it would conduct a special Teachers
Eligibility Test (TET) for differently-abled unemployed candidates with BEd
The state teachers Recruitment Board would conduct the test.
"Those differently-abled candidates with BEd, who clear TET would be employed
in the backlog vacancies and in vacancies, which would arise in the future,"
chief minister Jayalalithaa said in a statement.
The school education department would take steps to train visually-challenged
candidates and their scribes to clear the special TET through District Institute
of Education and Training (DIETs) across the state.
