Teacher Eligibility Test

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), scheduled for December 15, will be held in 94 centres across the district, said Zilla Parishad officials. TET is mandatory as per the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009 and is being held for the first time in the state.

"There are 94 centres in total for both paper 1 and 2. These centres are distributed among 35 schools for paper 1 and 39 schools for paper 2. There are 21, 422 students for paper 1 and 15, 786 students for paper 2," said S Kurhade, ZP Deputy Education Officer.

"We have also kept a meeting on December 10 at Modern Boys High School for all exam officers to make them aware of the rules and regulations so that the exam is conducted smoothly," said Kurhade." To ensure that no untoward incidences happen during the exams, we have got one invigilator per centre. Then there are 25 zonal officers. There will be another 94 officers who will sit in these centres and monitor the whole exam. The control room for the exam will be ZP. There will also be four flying squads with video shooting equipments,"said Kurhade.
